Study Club continued serving Avinger despite pandemic

Avinger’s 1936 Study Club, a member of General Federation of Women’s Clubs, recently met and calculated volunteer hours, projects completed, and money raised. According to President Gail Brown, the club has completed over 27 community service programs during the COVID-19 pandemic. Club members found unique ways to achieve yearly projects and fund-raising goals while exercising safety protocols.

Daingerfield Chamber holds annual banquet with a virtual twist

After a tumultuous 2020 that saw many of their events cancelled or highly modified, the Daingerfield Chamber of Commerce went ahead with plans for their 2021 Chamber Banquet, albeit in a modified format. The banquet was held at The Postmark in Daingerfield, and the meal was catered by Mug Shots.
