The Daingerfield High School Math and Science team competed in the Texas Math Science Coaches Association State Meet virtually on Saturday, March 20. As a team they finished fifth overall in the 3A division. These students had limited practice due to COVID regulations and had to adjust to an online format.
The University of Texas-Tyler has announced the Fall 2020 Dean’s list and President’s Honor Roll. Several local residents were named to the lists.
Area residents who cannot afford a visit to the doctor do have an alternative when it comes to receiving primary, preventative, or behavioral care. The InTune Mobile Health Unit is available every Monday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
In 1989 Congress passed the Pub. L. 97-28 which authorized and requested the President to proclaim the week beginning March 7, 1982, as Women’s History Week. For the next five years, Congress continued to pass joint resolutions designating a week in March as Women’s History Week. In 1987, it was petitioned by the National Women’s History Project that congress pass Pub. L. 100-9 officially making the whole month of March Women’s History Month.
The Pittsburg Camp County Arts Council will welcome singer/songwriter April N. Smith to the Pittsburg High School Auditorium March 27 at 7 p.m.
