The Daingerfield City Council met in their regular meeting Feb. 8 with all council members except Jesse Ayers in attendance. Outgoing City Manager Rocky Thomasson, whose retirement was announced in January, was also in attendance. Thomasson is currently finishing out his duties while the city works to hire his successor.

The Daingerfield Ounce of Prevention and School Health Advisory Council (SHAC) met for their monthly meeting on Feb. 9, with co-chairperson Martha Baker opening the meeting. The main focus on the February meeting wasted preparedness in regards to disasters.
