Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD officials have offered a response to an anonymous complaint to the University Interscholastic League (UIL). The complaint, which was filed following the Daingerfield-Elysian Fields game Sept. 18, regarded issues of mask and social distancing guidelines.
The Morris County GOP help Political Parade and Rally in Daingerfield Saturday, Sept. 26. The rally gave community members the opportunity to hear from local candidates in the races for Commissioner of Precinct 1 and Morris County Sheriff.
The there will be more than two candidates running for the Congressional District 4 seat on the November ballot. Republican Pat Fallon and Democrat Russell Foster will be joined by writein candidate Tracey Jones of Texarkana looking to fill the position on Nov. 3.
Morris County residents are no longer required to wear a face covering, according to Morris County Judge Doug Reeder. Judge Reeder made the announcement via social media on Sept. 23.
Dr. Wayland DeWitt, former president of Northeast Texas Community College, passed away at his home in Palm Desert, California on Sept/ 8, at the age of 85.
