New Hope Energy looking to set up shop in Lone Star

Reason for excitement abounded at the Morris County Commissioners Court meeting Sept. 14, as the commissioners and the public were made aware of a new industry possible coming into the county. New Hope Energy, based in Tyler, has been in communication with county and city officials for approximately five months as they work towards a plan to build a facility in Lone Star. The news brought several local dignitaries, including Lone Star Mayor Randy Hodges and Daingerfield Mayor Lou Irvin and Councilmember Mike Carter. Representative Cole Hefner was also in attendance for the announcement, as was a representative from Senator Bryan Hughes’ office.
