Cypress Bank donates laptop to NTCC Honors student

For the thirteenth straight year since 2008, Cypress Bank has presented a high-end MacBook laptop for the use of Northeast Texas Community College honors students. This year’s Cypress Bank Scholar is Cade Bennett. He is the son of Mark, and Cerena Bennett of Naples. A graduate of Paul Pewitt High School, Bennett was a varsity athlete, and member of the National Honor Society. With theatre experience as well, he assumed the star role this past summer in the 2020 film project of Honors Northeast at NTCC. Implementation of social distancing policies correlates with significant reduction in SARS-CoV-2 transmission

According to researchers from The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, the implementation of social distancing policies corresponded with significant reductions in transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 virus and reduced community mobility, both in the U.S. and globally, providing evidence that social distancing is a useful tool in preventing further spread of COVID-19.

NTCC Eagle athletes return to campus

Northeast Texas Community College began welcoming athletes back to the campus Monday, Aug. 17 as they prepare for a unique fall schedule. The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) announced this summer they would be moving the majority of Fall sports to the Spring for the 2020-2021 school year in response to COVID-19.
