Northeast Texas Community College is pleased to announce that it is now offering a Professional Driving Academy (CDL training) through the department of Continuing Education and Corporate Training. New classes will begin September 8, October 5 and November 2.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $100,000 anonymous donation. The gift was designated to establish an endowed scholarship for NTCC’s Work4College Scholarship. • Serna Lee Fabela, of Daingerfield, was arrested Aug. 1 by Daingerfield police for assault of a family or household member by impeding breath and injury to a child, elderly, or disabled person.
The area known as Rocky Point in Lone Star will be rezoned for commercial use. This comes after the City Council voted unanimously to approve the rezoning request of James and Ginger Smith.
In 2019, two longtime friends and lifelong residents have joined forces to offer a personal perspective on floral design and gifts. Sandy Lanier and Lisa Hardy have opened Hometown Girls Flowers, Gifts, and Frames in Hughes Springs. Over the past year, Lanier, a graduate of Hughes Springs, and Hardy, a Daingerfield graduate, have used their knowledge of the community and its residents to offer a more personal flower or gift arrangement.
