State, CDC, UIL release guidelines on reopening

The State of Texas is now in phase two of the reopening process. On May 18, childcare centers, massage and self-care centers, and youth clubs were allowed to reopen. On May 22, rodeos, equestrian events, bowling alleys, bingo halls, skating rinks, aquariums, natural caverns, and bars followed. Zoos will be allowed to open tomorrow, and Sunday, youth camps, youth sports, and professional sports with no spectators will be reinstated. Office employees may also return at this time.

Community Blood Drive to be held June 8

In times of uncertainty, new diseases such as Coronavirus take a toll on many areas, including unemployment and medical fields. One area that is sometimes overlooked during a pandemic is blood donations. In an effort assist in that area, Church on the Rock in Daingerfield, along with Ounce of Prevention and American Legion of Morris County Post #92, will host a blood drive through Carter BloodCare June 8. The blood drive will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parking lot of Church on the Rock.
