GARRETT

Fannie Lou Garrett, 86, formerly of Daingerfield passed away on Friday July 17, 2020 at Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehabilitation in Navasota Texas. Cremation services have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. She was born on January 02, 1934 in Naples Texas to Willie Collins Garrett and Ben B. Garrett. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, George T. Garrett of Bryan. Fannie spent the majority of her early years growing up at the Morris County jail while her father was sheriff of the county. She attended Daingerfield schools and graduated from Daingerfield High School. After high school Fannie worked at the Star Drug Store in Daingerfield and eventually was employed by General Telephone Company in Daingerfield as a telephone operator. Later she moved to the local telephone office and worked there until retirement. After retirement she spent a few years working part time for Bud’s General Store in Mt. Pleasant Texas. Fannie was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church of Daingerfield where she was very active and devoted to serving her Lord Jesus Christ in any way possible. She was a member of the Beacon Sunday School Class, the United Methodist Women and was always eager to cook and organize meals for church functions. She was well known for her cakes and pies. Fannie dearly loved her dogs and cats as they were her children and she cared for many of them over the years. Fannie is survived by three nephews, Doug Garrett and wife Lori of Kurten, Texas, Ben Garrett and wife Debra of Conroe, Texas and Larry Garrett and wife Pam of College Station, Texas. She is also survived by numerous great nephews and nieces and several cousins. Due to the current Coronavirus situation a Celebration of Life service is not scheduled at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Daingerfield, 306 W. Scurry Street, Daingerfield Texas, 75638. The family would like to especially thank the staff at Golden Creek Healthcare and Rehab due to their excellent care of Fannie in her last few months.

DRIGGERS

Services for Charles Driggers, 62 of Marietta, were held Oct. 13 at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mr. Driggers was born March 4, 1958 and passed away Oct. 10.

HARGETT

Services for Rhonda Kay Hargett, 55 of Naples, were held Oct. 12 at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Ore City. Burial followed at New Hope Cemetery in Marietta under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs.

Granville Lynn Jones, 73, of Georgetown, Texas ( formerly of Daingerfield, Texas) passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at Dell Seton Medical Center in Austin, Texas surrounded by his family.

CONNOR

Services for Betty Sue Connor, 89 of Daingerfield will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday, October 6, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Broughton officiating. Burial will be in the Daingerfield Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
