Thelma Harty Smith, age 89 of Marietta, passed away Sunday, Aug. 30 in Hughes Springs. Thelma was born Sept. 10, 1930 in Marietta to Horace Harty and Minnie Priscilla Smith Harty.
Bertie Elizabeth Stone was born Sept. 15, 1923 in Nacogdoches. She went to be with her Lord on Aug. 21.
Georgia Helen Hasler, 98 of Lone Star, passed away Aug. 14. Mrs. Hasler was born Oct. 26, 1921 to Herbert Eugene Warner and Mary Jane Kirby Warner.
Services for David Barton Sprague, 78 of Daingerfield, were held Aug. 12 at Church on the Rock with Pastor Randy Seybert officiating. Burial with military honors was Aug. 13 at DFW National Cemetery.
Graveside services for Nancy Blackwell Mathis of Odessa Aug. 12 at the Clark Cemetery in Jenkins. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home. Nancy was born on March 6, 1943 in Naples to Jack and Marie Wallace Blackwell. She passed peacefully at her daughter’s home in Odessa on August 6.
