GLOVER

Wilburn Ray Glover was born Sept. 16, 1967 and passed away Sept. 2. A celebration of Will’s life was held Sept. 6 at Ore City Community Center.

MARLAR

MARLAR

James David Marlar was born in Texarkana, Ark., on Sept. 20, 1952, to the Reverend Doyle Marlar and Floyce Marlar of Hooks. He graduated from Hooks High School in 1971 with honors, and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Science and a double major in math and psychology from East Texas State University in Commerce. From there, James attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a Masters of Math and continuing post-graduate work. He began his employment with Ling-Temco-Vought in Arlington before being recruited for a move to California to begin top secret work for Northrop Grumman on the original Stealth Bomber, where he was a noted computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing engineer until his retirement in 2019. After moving back to a ranch in Granbury, 20 years ago, James took great joy in spending time with his family and friends from the area and from all across the country. He was a devoted family man, a devoted husband, and a devoted Christian.

Services for Roy Lee Lewis, 90 of Daingerfield, were held Sept. 3 at the Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Gibbs officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.

Danny Ray Harp, 67 of Atlanta, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 3 in a Texarkana, Texas adult care facility.

WOODS

Services for Ms. Francis Woods, 82, were held Aug. 25 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Francis was born Sept. 30, 1938 and passed away August 14.
