Curtis D. Barham, 67 of Hughes Springs, peacefully passed away at home on July 23. Mr. Barham was born January 27, 1953 in Dallas to Curtis J. Barham and Mary Ruth Barham, who proceeded him in death.
Augustus Randolph “Randy” Presley, Jr., 90, died on July 31. Randy was born in Mount Pleasant on March 6, 1930. He attended public schools in Mount Pleasant, graduating from high school in 1947. As a teenager, he snuck off to take flying lessons and first soloed a Piper Cub on April 8, 1946, and continued flying for over 60 years. He attended The University of Texas at Austin, where he was a member and president of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. After graduating in 1951, he entered boot camp at Lackland Air Force Base in June.
Services for Jimmy D. Walker, 86 of Daingerfield, were held Aug. 4 at the Daingerfield Church of Christ with Bro. Mark Young and Bro. Randy Seybert officiating. Burial was in the Clark Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Nail-Haggard Funeral Home.
Services for Nancy Louise Johnson, 78 of Mount Pleasant, were held July 28 at Reeder-Davis Chapel. Burial followed at Flat Creek Cemetery under the direction of Reeder-Davis Funeral Home in Hughes Springs. Ms. Johnson was born December 19, 1941 and passed away July 24.
Funeral services for Mrs. Bobbe Jean Wilson Humphrey, 84 of Daingerfield, formerly of Kilgore, were held July 21 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore. Private burial followed at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Humphrey passed away on July 16 in Longview.
