Services for Vernon Lance Strawn, 81 of Daingerfield, were held Feb. 24 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Broughton and Bro. Don Ross officiating. Burial was in the Bradfield Chapel Cemetery. Services for La Juana Ann Adams, 70 of Hughes Springs, were held March 4 at Nail-Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Shiles Hubbell officiating. Burial was in the Macedonia Cemetery in Pittsburg.
Bennie Lou Turman Rhyne passed away at age 93 on March 7 after a short illness. She was a resident of Arabella Assisted Living in Longview for the past year, after living over sixty years in Hughes Springs and Linden. She was born in Weatherford on Feb. grew up in Noonday, outside of Tyler. Bennie graduated from John Tyler High School and then from Tyler Commercial College in 1949. Bennie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; daughter, Ima Jean; sister, Ima Jean, two brothers, Louie and Donald Turman; and granddaughter, Cassie.
Services for Bruce Dean Rice, 61 of Daingerfield, were March 6 at First Baptist Church Daingerfield with Bro. Danny Broughton and Coach Jerry Baker officiating. Burial was in the Union Hill Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant.
