Services for Johnny Newsom, 70 of Daingerfield, were held April 4 at 3 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery. Mr. Newsom was born March 29, 1949 in Clarksville to Johnnie R. Newsome and Leoda M. Whitt. He passed away Feb. 16. Newsom served two years in the military during Vietnam, and he was an owner/operator over the road truck driver.
