Joan Carol Ainsworth
Joan Carol Ainsworth was born on July 24, 1936. Joan was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to her parents Spencer and Elizabeth Ainsworth, where she would recall most of her childhood memories. She loved to travel the world and lived in places such as Turkey and the Island of Borneo. She moved to Texas in her later years where she would live out the rest of her life. She was involved in many organizations such as the Eastern Star and on the Board of Commissioners of the Omaha Housing Organization. She loved her sense of community and would give anything to be with the people she surrounded herself with daily. She was passionate about her career as a pet groomer; so much so that she would go on to open her own company. She was a huge fan of Christian music which was a true testimony to where her heart was at with the Lord. She was a fierce Scrabble player who would not hesitate to add words to her version of the English dictionary. She cherished the moments that she could gather and sing with her close friends who would play the piano. Her dog was her number one supporter whom she loved so dearly. When asked, her family and friends would describe her as “Spunky and Fearless” with many stories to back up their school of thought. She peacefully passed away on October 24, 2023. She was surrounded by people who dearly cared for her and of course, her dog at her side. There will be a memorial service for Joan held at Snow Hill Baptist Church of Pittsburg, Texas, at 11 AM on November 5th, 2023.
