It is often said that good teams become a family. Many teams will even use the term “Family” when breaking out of their huddles after practices or games. Over the course of the past week, I have seen the TRUE meaning of “Family” when it comes to a group of men who will stand behind and for their brother in a time of need.
The filing period for the 2022 Texas primary elections opened on Nov. 13, allowing candidates to file with their respective party chairs for spots on the March 1, 2022, primary ballot. For primary elections, candidates must file their applications with their state party chairs. If a district is solely contained within a single county, a candidate would file with the county chair.
Evan Young, a former clerk to the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, has been appointed to the Texas Supreme Court by Gov. Greg Abbott. He will replace Justice Eva Guzman, who resigned in June to run for Texas attorney general.
They say that the two constants in life are death and taxes, but I would like to add a couple to the list. The first, and most important, is that we all have a God that loves us, and made a way for us to go to heaven one day.
So on the road toward our God-given destiny not everything is going to be rainbows and roses. No friends, it’s not. There will be trials and tests along the road but do not fear because God will always be there beside you. 1 Peter 5:10 says that suffering will come, but just for a little while. Don’t worry because God has called you and given you a powerful destiny in Him.
