Thank you for all the well wishes after my first “Capital Highlights” column last week. I also appreciate the emails suggesting topics of high interest.
A few years back, I wrote an article on the benefits of putting a whole banana in the hole before putting in a tomato transplant. Its nutrients are helpful to the plant, and I still use bananas for that purpose.
Last week, I was on my best behavior! I only attacked the front windows 47 times. That’s a new record for me!
Ed Sterling wrote this column for almost three decades, so let’s open by celebrating his contributions to the Texas Press Association and its members. Ed was the calm, steady voice keeping us informed and interested.
