The Daingerfield Tigers have continued making strides on the baseball diamond under second year head coach Jermaine Mitchell. In last week’s action, the varsity defeated DeKalb before narrowly falling to Pewitt.
The Lady Tigers had a rough week on the softball field, falling to New Diana and Hawkins.
The Daingerfield Junior High boys and girls track teams traveled to Jefferson Monday, March 2, to take part in the Bullpups Relays. The seventh grade boys placed first overall in their division with 163 points. The seventh grade girls second in their division with 143, the eighth grade girls finished in third with 111 points, and the eighth grade boys finished third in their division with 94 points.
The Hughes Springs varsity baseball team has gone 5-0 on the early season, including four wins in four wins in tournament play.
The Daingerfield Tigers have gotten off to a good start, opening their season at 2-2, including two wins in the Overton tournament Feb. 27-28.
