Hughes Springs’ Jade Hill, a senior child life major, is among more than 1,200 Harding University students included on the dean’s list for grades achieved during the fall 2020 semester.
Cass County Criminal District Attorney Courtney Shelton released the following information on cases disposed of in the 5th Judicial District Court for January and February 2021. The Honorable Bill Miller served as Presiding Judge.
Members of the B.U.D.D.Y. Organization of Northeast Texas recently passed out cases of water to those affected by numerous boil notices and lack of water due to recent winter storms. According to a B.U.D.D.Y Organization representative, the group gave away 120 cases of bottle water to the citizens of Morris County on Feb. 24. Jessica Chapman of Hughes Springs was named to the Stephen F. Austin State University President’s List for the Fall 2020 semester. Chapman is majoring in General Business and just completed her sophomore year. Jessica is a 2020 graduate of Hughes Springs High School.
