Texans’ right to free speech is under attack…again

Americans’ right to speak their minds is considered sacred, which is why we must fight to protect the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and the Texas Citizens Participation Act. Both measures were carefully written with protection of the individual — the “little guy” — in mind. They’re designed to give a David a fighting chance if he finds himself in a legal duel with a Goliath.

Daingerfield FFA public speaking compete at East Texas State Fair, one heads to finals

On Saturday, September 21, six members of the Daingerfield FFA chapter traveled to Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas to compete in the East Texas State Fair’s Public Speaking Contest. One of the students was able to move up to the finals of her division. This was the first public speaking contest of the year. The FFA members who attended the competition were DHS freshmen Adrian Bazan and Khayleb Craddock, sophomores Tyson Hughes and Arryanna Evans, junior Maria Lopez, and senior Jordan Tigert. They competed in the Ag Policy Division.
