The Lone Star volunteer fire department set up in the Lone Star Shopping Center last week taking Christmas donations for children who are less fortunate. Santa and the Grinch made an appearance on Friday as well.

Santa took time out of his busy schedule to bring Christmas cheer to Northeast Texas Community College last week! The man himself visited the Student Union Building on December 5th and 6th to take photos with kids of all ages. He also brought some of his elves to serve milk and cookies and make fun Christmas crafts.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received $10,000 from an anonymous donor. The gift will be used to support the continued expansion of the Work4College Program into the Fall and Spring semesters. Pictured receiving the gift (from left) is: Dr. Jon McCullough, Executive Vice President for Advancement; Nita May, Director of Development, McKenna Neal, Resource Development Specialist, and Mason May, Director of Work4College.The unique Work4College program allows students to work at the college and other locations to contribute to their college expenses in advance.
