The Hughes Springs Chamber of Commerce is currently preparing for their annual Crystal Globe Awards banquet and is asking the community for their input. Community members are invited to submit their nominations for the Chamber’s Lifetime Achievement Award, as well as the Citizen of the Year Award.

The Hughes Springs Mustangs will soon be in unfamiliar territory, as they have already begun the process of replacing longtime Athletic Director and head football coach Chris Edwards. Edwards tendered his resignation, effective Jan. 30, 2023, at the Dec. 12 board meeting, which was unanimously accepted by the board members present.
