93 Graduating Seniors walked from their high school to their graduation ceremony

Daingerfield Honors Graduating Seniors

On May 15, 2026, almost 1,100 parents, family members, friends, and well-wishers sat and stood on the home side of Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium as 93 graduating Seniors walked onto the stadium field and sat down. They cheered and clapped throughout the ceremony. Honors student, Kate Kachnik, welcomed everyone. Honors student, Trestor Smauley, led everyone in the pledge to the flag. Honor student, Alejandro Ordonez, did the invocation. Salutatorian, Jada Harmon, spoke about her family, growing up, her life influences, and her future plans. Honor student, Isaiah Parker, read an original poem. Valedictorian, Madeline Contreras, spoke about being honored to be valedictorian, her life influences, her family and friends, and the pride of being a Daingerfield Tiger. Student Advisor, Kristy Sutton, introduced the 2026 Senior Class Honors graduates. Curriculum Director, Angie Reeder, introduced the keynote speaker, Joaquin Guerrero, a graduate of the Class of 1990, Daingerfield High School. Principal Bobby Betts presented the graduating Seniors with their diplomas. Honor Student, Lilyana Broughton, on behalf of the graduating class, accepted the diplomas. Honor student Keelee Stephens made the ceremony’s closing remarks. Honor Student, Aaron Alej, led in the benediction. Honor student, Antonio Herrera, lead in signing the school’s alma mater. Beautiful weather, heartfelt speeches, honors recognized, tassels flipped, and 93 former Daingerfield students graduated, with loud applause and cheers.

Top Ten Graduates honored at luncheon

Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD celebrated the 2026 top ten graduates with the annual Honor Grad Luncheon at Lakeview Encampment. Each graduate was invited, along with 3 guests, to celebrate their accomplishments. The top ten graduates are Valedictorian Madeline Contreras, Salutatorian Jada Harmon, Lily Broughton, Alex Ordonez, Isaiah Parker, Kate Kachnik, Treston Smauley, Antonio Herrera, Keelee Stephens, and Aaron Alejo.
