NTCC mourns the passing of Dr. Jerry Wesson

Northeast Texas Community College mourns the passing of Dr. Jerry Wesson, a founding administrator and former Vice President of Student Services, who passed away on April 20, 2026, at the age of 85. A memorial service will be held on May 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Tennison Memorial United Methodist Church in Mount Pleasant. Following the memorial, A short graveside service will be held at 4:00PM at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City, Texas.

Foundation receives $59,000 to establish Chuck and Sarah Johns Memorial Scholarship

Friends and family of Chuck and Sarah Johns recently made a generous $59,000 gift to establish the Chuck and Sarah Johns Memorial Scholarship at Northeast Texas Community College. The endowed scholarship will benefit students from Camp County, with a special emphasis on those pursuing degrees in education.
