Daingerfield-Lone Star students construct police equipment

Students from the Daingerfield-Lone Star Independent School District (DLSISD) FFA recently collaborated with local law enforcement to construct specialized door-breaching equipment. This tactical gear, which includes tools like battering rams, is designed to allow officers to quickly access suspects or reach victims during high-stakes emergency situations, such as hostage rescues or active shooter incidents.

The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a $500 donation from Dwain and Linda Blount of Mount Pleasant. Their gift will be used to sponsor a student in the 2026 Work4College Program.
