The Hughes Springs Area Public Library held one of their final programs of the summer on July 15, and a magical time was had by all in attendance. Librarian Jean Austin and the rest of the staff welcomed Marty the Magician to the library, as over fifty students and adults alike were mesmerized by his tricks and sleight of hand.
The Daingerfield City Council met in their regular session Monday, July 12. During that time, the board awarded bids for several projects.
As one educators’ time at Pewitt High School came to an end this summer, another’s career came full circle, as former Pewitt High School teacher Tanya Briggs has returned to the school, this time as principal. Briggs took over July 1 after former PHS Principal Jay Wylie after he was employed by Malta ISD.
