(AUSTIN) — As national 529 industry professionals prepare to celebrate 529 College Savings Day on May 29, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is encouraging families to save for their children’s higher education expenses using the state’s 529 college plans.
Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD honored their 2021 retirees at their end of the year assembly May 21. Retiring from the district are (from left) Melinda Samples, Dan Meredith, and Rosie Guest.
Hughes Springs Junior High student Addison Barnes was presented the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) Patriotism and Leadership Award on May 20. The award was presented by the local Trammel’s Trace DAR Chapter members Greta Wright and Brinda Mandella.
