Employees at United States Steel in Lone Star received word March 25 that the company would be indefinitely idling its tubular plant facility in Lone Star.
Community members gathered at Daingerfield High School June 12 to honor Chris Kemp. Kemp’s classmates organized the vigil that was attended by members of the community, friends, and family members. Kemp, a 2018 graduate of DHS, was found deceased after his motorcycle crashed May 31.
For 35 years, the Christian Service Center has been available to help those in need in and around Daingerfield. Now, they are reaching out for help to continue the services they provide.
Morris County deputies performed a welfare check on an unresponsive male June 6. According to authorities, the man was found deceased by deputies.
