Daingerfield council meets, adjusts LifeNet contract
The Daingerfield City Council met April 27 in their regular meeting, with members attending via conference call. All members were present with the exception of Jesse Ayers.

Cass County Criminal District Attorney Courtney Shelton has released the following information on cases disposed of in the County Court at Law for March. Judge Donald Dowd served as Presiding Judge.
CONGRATULATIONS, SENIORS!
Despite the current situation concerning COVID-19, the local communities are still finding special ways to recognize their graduating seniors. (Left photo) Daingerfield High School seniors each had a Senior 2020 yard sign placed at Daingerfield City Park, while Pewitt seniors had similar signs (right photo) placed along the driveway at the school. Hughes Springs seniors were recognized each Friday evening as the school will light the stadium lights at 8:20 p.m. for 20 minutes. All three schools did “Senior Spotlight” posts on Facebook and had community members “adopt” members of their graduating classes.
Phase 1 of re-opening underway
Governor Gregg Abbott opened the door, so to speak, to “business as usual” for many businesses in his latest Executive Order on April 27. Still, some businesses such as barbershops and salons, must wait for more orders.
