Savannah Wright of Hughes Springs was one of 64 students named to the College of Pharmacy dean’s list for Spring 2020. Dean’s list standing is reserved for fulltime students with a 3.80 or higher grade point average.
In effort to help food banks that are seeing a rise in demand for resources to serve those most in need, Brookshire Grocery Co. is donating $1.2 million to make a difference in the communities it serves.

In past years, the Hughes Springs Area Public Library has offered a summer program through the months of June and July to help keep children busy. With COVID-19 derailing many events over the past three months, librarian Jean Austin has a plan in place to virtually help with summer plans.
