The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $25,000 from the estate of Helen Hampton. The funds are being used to establish the Charlie and Helen Hampton Memorial Endowed Scholarship, which will be awarded to graduates of Paul Pewitt High School. On Wednesday, May 21, the members of the Morris County Junior Livestock Association (MCJLA) met at the Daingerfield-Lone Star Agricultural Science and Mechanics Building to review scholarship applications of 2025 graduating seniors. The MCJLA Board awarded two $500 scholarships to Darcy Humphrey and Jordan Tigert.
