The Lady Tigers opened their 2020-2021 basketball season Nov. 6 when they welcomed the Pleasant Grove Lady Hawks to Jesse Hanson Gymnasium. Unfortunately for the Lady Tigers, they were unable to open the season with a win, falling to Pleasant Grove, 48-24.
The Daingerfield Tigers, who had clinched at least a shared district title the previous week, welcomed the district’s fourth seed, the Chisum Mustangs to Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium Nov. 6. With a win, the Tigers would lock up the top seed in the upcoming playoffs.

A week after their first district loss at the hands of cross-county rival Daingerfield, the Pewitt Brahmas (5-3, 4-1) took to Sam Parker Field to face the Prairiland Patriots. A win would keep the Brahmas in the thick of the district race and solidify a playoff berth for the first-year head coach Richard Strickland and the Brahmas.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs look to have secured a playoff spot following their 46-12 win over Harleton Oct. 30. The Mustangs (5-2, 4-1) sit tied for second in the district with a pivotal matchup with District 11-3A frontrunner Elysian Fields looming.
