Avinger’s 1936 Study Club, a member of the general Federation of Women’s Clubs, kicked off the 2020-21 year with the President’s Luncheon on September 10. Gail Brown took over her presidential duties and welcomed all new officers.

Despite changes brought on by the current pandemic, the Daingerfield-Lone Star Education Foundation is still working to assist students and teachers in Daingerfield-Lone Star ISD.
So, last week was a good week. I got a new human, and she brought me treats. I got a new ball, and more new things to knock off of her desk. She likes to talk to me, but wasn’t too keen on sharing her tuna with me!
