So, last week was a good week. I got a new human, and she brought me treats. I got a new ball, and more new things to knock off of her desk. She likes to talk to me, but wasn’t too keen on sharing her tuna with me!
Recently, I was settling in for my daughter’s softball tournament in Longview when I noticed several hot air balloons headed towards the ballpark. As a wannabe photographer, I grabbed my camera and couple friends and headed to where two of them were landing. Besides several awesome photos (if I do say so myself !), watching those hot air balloons gave me what I would like to think of as life lessons.

• John Alvin Mitchell, Jr., of Daingerfield, was arrested Aug. 30 by Daingerfield police for public intoxication.
