Cass County Criminal District Attorney Courtney Shelton recently released information on cases disposed of in the County Court at Law for the month of June. Honorable Donald Dowd served as Presiding Judge.
• Odyessious Lamar Chism, of Lone Star, was arrested July 26 by Lone Star police officers for deadly conduct and unlawful possession of a firearm. He was then charged with possession of marijuana (less than two ounces), possession of a controlled substance, penalty group three (less than 28 grams), and tampering with or fabricating physical evidence.

Christi Denney and her children presented Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Titus, Camp and Morris Counties with a check for a $1,500. The donation was from proceeds raised for “The Jingle Bell Jog” 5K race in memory of Christi’s sister, Nita DeWoody.
