Buie honored for 70 years with Order of the Eastern Star

Each year the Trammel’s Trace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution solicits nominations from Cass County teachers in order to choose students who best exemplify characteristics of leadership, dependability, and patriotism.
The Morris County Collaborative held a Town Hall meeting on June 26 to discuss the past, and prepare for the future. The meeting was held at The Whatley Center on the campus of Northeast Texas Community College and was attended by many from the Morris County area.
The Daingerfield-Lone Star School Board met in regular session June 21. That time, they heard an updates on the summer maintenance projects and considered changes to the Student Rights, Responsibilities, Investigations, and Searches.
Car enthusiasts will be in for a treat as the Annual Sparks in the Park Car Show will return July 3 to Spring Park in Hughes Springs. The annual auto and cycle show will return after a covid-induced hiatus last year and is hosted by the Arden Hanes American Legion Post 351.
