Record turnout for Early Voting in Morris County

A record number of voters turned out during three weeks of early voting, according to information from Morris County Clerk Scott Sartain and the Texas Secretary of State’s Offce. Approximately 4,771 people cast their ballots early, either in person or by mail from Oct. 13 through Oct. 30.

U.S. Attorney Stephen J. Cox announced that a 40-year-old Ore City, Texas man has been sentenced to 840 months in federal prison for child exploitation violations in the Eastern District of Texas.
