East Texas, October 29, 2020: For the ninth year, the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), in partnership with Workforce Solutions East Texas (WSET) and 27 other local workforce development boards, and the Texas Veterans Commission, will host veterans hiring fairs in 31 cities throughout Texas on Thursday, November 5. This year for the first time, all events will be held virtually. Workforce Solutions East Texas will participate with its first-ever virtual hiring event allowing employers and job seekers to meet safely. The event is veteran-focused but open to the public.
ATLANTA – About 168 miles of Northeast Texas highways will receive new surfaces during the summer of 2021 with a contract awarded in October by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT).
Since 2008, NTCC’s honors students have presented scholarly posters at the National Collegiate Honors Council. This year the meeting went virtual. But five NTCC scholars both made the cut to present, joining 300 other undergraduate researchers from around the nation, and filed their MP4 video files, posters, and personal statements in time for the virtual conference. Over 90 percent of those exhibiting scholarly posters were university students.
