The Mustangs lost a marathon 11 inning game against New Diana 4-3.
Tyson Daigle threw seven innings surrendering four hits, three runs (two earned), striking out 10 and walking five.
The Daingerfield Tigers participated in the Waskom Baseball Tournament March 11 and 12. Daingerfield posted a 1-1-1 record at the tournament, which moved their record to 7-2-1.
Daingerfield’s boys and girls varsity track team participated in the Gilmer Buckeye relays March 4. Results are posted below.
The Mustangs went 3-1 in the Grand Saline tournament with wins over Edgewood (8-0), Jacksonville (8-0) and Grand Saline (9-1). The lone loss was to Farmersville (6-5).
The Daingerfield Tigers remain undefeated on the diamond as they defeated Maud, 12-2, on March 5. The Tigers used a big fourth inning to put away the Cardinals and run their record to 6-0 as they head into district play.
