The Daingerfield Tigers played three games Feb. 25 as part of the Linden-Kildare Baseball Tournament. The Tigers fared well, winning all three games in fine fashion. The three-game sweep runs the Tigers’ record to 4-0 on the young season.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs went 4-2 the past week, defeating Tyler All Saints twice, Mineola and Commerce. The Mustangs were defeated by Prairiland and Paris.
The Daingerfield Tiger Varsity tennis team traveled to Gladewater Feb. 25. Karley Nix was the team’s only medalist, finishing third.
The Daingerfield Tigers and Lady Tigers traveled to Liberty-Eylau Feb. 26 to participate in their first track meet of the season, the Paul Parr Relays.
Six powerlifters from Daingerfield have qualified for their respective Regional meets. The Lady Tigers will send four to the girls Regional Meet Saturday, March 6 at Rice High School. The Tigers will have two competing in the boys Regional on March 11 at Henderson.
