The pewit Brahmas have gotten off to fast start on the diamond, posting two big wins to open the season. The Brahmas opened the season Feb. 8 with a 12-7 win over Ore City. After weather caused several matchups to be changed, the Brahmas then defeated Big Sandy, 20-2, on Feb. 23.
Northeast Texas Community College Softball returned to the field on Tuesday to face Hill College after a two-week layoff due to the winter storm that hit Texas. NTCC and Hill would each win a game to split the two-game series. Hill won game one 16-13 and the Eagles would take game two 5-1.
The Daingerfield Tigers traveled to Sabine Feb. 25 for their last chance to qualify for the upcoming regional meet. The Tigers finished the Sabine meet in fourth place, behind Center, Gladewater Sabine, and Rusk. The Tigers had two first place finishes to help their reach their 25-point team total.
The Daingerfield Tigers opened up their 2021 Baseball season with an impressive 18-0 win Feb. 22. The Tigers used three pitchers to complete the one-hitter and defeat Overton.
Northeast Texas Community College softball returned home to NTCC to take on Cisco College after starting the season on the road. NTCC would down Cisco 14-5 in game one action before falling 10-1 in game two of the series.
