The Pewitt Brahmas shocked some last season, barreling through the regular season to the tune of a 9-1 record. They parlayed the regular season success into the palyoffs, where they advanced to the title game. Unfortunately, the tide turned against the Brahmas, falling to Gunter in the championship tilt to finish the season 14-2.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs will be moving to a new classification for the 2020 season, moving from Division 1 3A to Division 2. A new district equals new opponents, and this comes on top of the new guidelines and safety precautions brought on by the current COVID-19. One factor that remains the same for the Mustangs is their coaching staff.
The Paul Pewitt Lady Brahmas opened the season with a victory against Morris County rival Daingerfield, winning 3-0.
The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs opened the 2020 Volleyball season with a split. The Lady Mustangs fell to Hooks before defeating Pittsburg to open the action.
