Tigers win season opener for first time since 2011

After months of uncertainty on whether high school football should, or would, be played after months of concerns over COVID-19, many area high school teams were able to take the field for the 2020 season openers Aug. 28. The Daingerfield Tigers were one of those lucky teams, traveling to Atlanta with hopes of starting the current season with a win. After a defensively dominating win, the Tigers headed home with a 16-6 win, their first season opening win since 2011.
