During a Daingerfield city council meeting on Monday, January 13, the council unanimously approved funds for water system improvements and the sale of Certificates of Obligation to the Texas Water Development (TWD) board.
A brand new digital sign can be seen next to the Sonic in Daingerfield, flashing any valuable information for Daingerfield residents.
Dr. Winston McCowan, Jr.’s story reflects resilience, passion, and the importance of education. It began in 1985 when his family moved to Mount Pleasant, Texas, coinciding with his father’s 33-year career as a Biology Professor at Northeast Texas Community College. His father’s dedication to teaching greatly influenced Dr. Mc-Cowan, Jr., fostering a deep respect for education shaped by both his father’s and mother’s roles as educators.
The Northeast Texas Community College Foundation recently received a check for $18,074 from Jerry Hearron on behalf of the Mount Pleasant Community Fund.
