Lady Tigers, Lady Mustangs battle for playoff spot

When the Daingerfield Lady Tigers and Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs met Oct. 26 at Mustang Gymnasium, a playoff spot was on the line. Should the Lady Mustangs win, they would take the fourth spot in District 15-3A; a Daingerfield win would force a one-game play-in between the two schools. Two-and -a-half hours and five sets later, the Lady Tigers emerged victorious to force a two-way tie between the rivals.

Hughes Springs crowns royalty, defeats Harleton 50-28

The Hughes Springs Mustangs, on a night where they crowned their 2021 homecoming royalty, rolled to a victory against Harleton, 50-28. In the process, the Mustangs (4-4, 4-1) all but solidified their playoff berth with one game left.

Lewis crowned Homecoming King, leads Daingerfield to 56-20 win over Hooks

The Daingerfield Tigers, fresh off their big win against Pewitt a week prior, took to the field on Oct. 29 looking to provide more proof they belong at the top of the district standings. The Tigers welcomed the Hooks Hornets to Mickey Mayne Tiger Stadium on a night that saw Daingerfield’s quarterback crowned Homecoming King prior to leading the Tigers to a 56-20 victory.
