The Daingerfield Lady Tigers battled James Bowie Sept. 7. Despite taking the Lady Pirates to four sets, the Varsity Lady Tigers fell, three sets to one.
All incoming high school freshmen through seniors are invited to the third annual High School Showcase at Northeast Texas Community College on Saturday, Oct. 23. This showcase is an opportunity for high school players to participate in an evaluation setting in front of the Eagles Baseball coaching staff.
Members of the East Texas Xtreme softball team organized a donation drive for victims of Hurricane Ida recently. The Pewitt Brahmas scored first and last in their matchup against Mount Vernon Friday. Unfortunately, the Tigers used a 42-0 mid-game run to roll to a 42-16 win over the Brahmas.
The mark of a tradition-rich team usually shows most in how they rebound after losses. For both Paul Pewitt and Atlanta, game two of the 2021 football season was an opportunity to showcase such resilience. The Rabbits were still licking their wounds from a 48-7 loss at Daingerfield while the Brahmas saw their chances for an opening victory fall away in the second half at Winnsboro.
