The Daingerfield Lady Tigers travelled to Tyler on Aug.24 to take on the Lady Trojans of All Saints. Despite a good effort by all three teams, the Lady Trojans took the win in all three matches.
The Paul Pewitt Brahmas wanted to get their season off to a fast start and did so in the opening seconds of their opening game at Winnsboro. The Red Raiders had other plans, breaking open a close game in the second half on their way to a 39-22 win, spoiling Pewitt head coach Cedrick Dorsey’s debut in the head job.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers notched their first wins of the young season on Friday, Aug. 20. The Junior Varsity Blue and Varsity squads each made the trek to Winona, and both teams came home with a win.
To help combat heat-related issues during two-a-day workouts recently for area football teams, Elliott Autogroup made a donation of sports drinks to area schools. The Daingerfield Lady Tigers had their first home volleyball matchup of the young season on Aug. 17. The Lady Tigers welcomed the Lady Jackets from Mineola for a three-match battle.
