The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs were back on the volleyball court Aug. 31, welcoming the Lady Bulldogs from Queen City to Mustang Gymnasium. Despite a week away for health concerns, the Lady mustangs were able to pull off the win, three sets to one.
After a season of limited fan access that ended un the second round of the playoffs, the Daingerfield Tigers were able to take the field at Mickey Mayne Stadium Aug. 27 to open the 2021 season. The Tigers welcomed the Atlanta Rabbits, who were sent packing after a 48-7 Tiger victory.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs will have to wait another week to begin their2021 football season. Due to numerous COVID cases in the district, the team cancelled their Aug. 28 matchup in Arp.
The Daingerfield Lady Tigers welcomed the Lady Tigers from Linden-Kildare Aug. 27. The home team was able to notch their second win of the season in four sets in the varsity-only matchup.
