The Track & Field committee of the Texas Girls Coaches Association has selected Ashlyn Bruce to represent Daingerfield as a Track & Field All Star. The honor is one that only 20 young ladies receive and covers class 1A through 4A each year.

Despite an earlier-than-expected exit from the state playoffs, the Hughes Springs Lady Mustang softball team still can be proud of a successful season. After a 26-6 record and a fourth-round playoff appearance, the Lady Mustangs have dominate All-District Selections for 15-3A.
The Hughes Springs Lady Mustangs season has come to a close after dropping the first two games of a bestof-three series with Rains in the Regional Semi-Final Round of the UIL State Playoffs. The Rains Lady Cats took game one on May 20, 9-1, before closing out the series May 22 with a 10-2 victory to end the Lady Mustangs run.
