Xtreme takes gold in Diamonds and Dirt tournament

Daingerfield’s East Texas Xtreme 12U softball team traveled to Texarkana May 15 to take part in the Diamonds & Dirt Tournament, bringing home the gold after a 3-2 win over East Texas Prospects in the championship game. Over six games, Xtreme, coached by Hershel Stroman and Mark Jones, went undefeated and outscored their opponents 33-2. The team is made up of Tomia Dessesaure, Liz Melara, Darla Jones, Khloe Stroman, Abigail Bickham, Kyleigh Humphrey, Livi Brown, Kennedy Jordan, Jayna Rucker, and Rachael Walker.
