Do you have a daughter that is looking for a new softball family? East Texas Xtreme, a 14U travel team out of Daingerfield, is looking for players born in 2007 and 2008 to round out their team for the fall season.
The Daingerfield-Lone Star Youth Sport Association will be hosting a fundraiser softball tournament Aug. 14. Proceeds from the tournament will help the league restart little league football in the area.

The Pewitt Brahmas, just two years removed from a state championship appearance, look to build on recent success. They will do so under their third head coach in three seasons, as first-time head coach/athletic director Cedric Dorsey. Dorsey was promoted to the position after Richard Strickland left the team in the spring.
The Hughes Springs Mustangs will be looking to better their 2020 season, one in which they finished 6-4 overall and advanced to the second round of the playoffs. The 2020 Mustangs finished third in district with a 4-2 record. Their only district losses came to Elysian Fields and Waskom, who finished first and second, respectively, in District 11-3A.
